Growing up on a farm in Missouri, Leona Augustine dreamed of being a songwriter. In 1942, she wrote a song for her future husband as he left for World War II. The song was published, but no one never recorded it — and it was forgotten.
But on June 5, 2021, the song was finally brought to life thanks to the Starlighters Swinging Big Band. The first-ever live performance of “I’m Dreaming of No One But You” took place during the Founder’s Day festivities in Union, Missouri.
